I’ve been to Rome twice and let’s just say, round one felt like a heatstroke-inducing obstacle course. Picture me, melting into cobblestones, weaving through selfie sticks, scooters, and sheer chaos.
But the second time? Rome hit different. Quieter streets, smoother wandering, and the kind of magic that only shows up when you’re not speed-running the city like it’s a competitive sport. I also ate my weight in pistachio cannoli and felt zero shame about it. Because when in Rome…
Come wander with me - I’ve got the gems you actually want to know about ❤️
No matter how many times I see it, the Colosseum still leaves me speechless.
Zem Yoga Studio
Zem Yoga Studio is a little sanctuary in the heart of Rome, and let me tell you, the class I took here was absolutely lovely.
The studio offers a serene, welcoming atmosphere with a beautiful balance of challenge and relaxation. The instructor guided us through a grounding, creative flow centered around hip openings which was much needed after a long day of sightseeing.
Villa Borghese Gardens
If you’re anything like me and need a bit of green to breathe in, Villa Borghese is the answer.
It’s a massive park right in the center of Rome, and it’s the perfect spot for a slow walk, or simply to lay on the grass and let the world drift by.
Oh, and don’t forget to take a peek at the Galleria Borghese if you want to add a dash of art history to your wanderings.
